Well, Mrs. Mackie posted more photos of the class today.
On Thursday Savanna had a mosquito bite on her forehead- she actually almost needed a band aid for the splinter ouchie on her hand. . . not for the forehead- but guess which band aid didn't want to come off before school? Savanna was quite proud.
She is trying really hard to follow the class rules. She even used the vocabulary word "partly" in a conversation last night. I didn't know the significance of what she was doing until I read her classroom's weekly newsletter, here is an excerpt:
"as well as a new weather word, taught to us by Spencer, “partly” as in “partly” sunny and “partly” cloudy are highlights for this week’s classroom vocabulary. As young children are exposed to new expressive language, they often try and include these new words and phrases into their patterns of speech. We love to listen to them as they “almost” understand the words they are using; our classroom is such a language-rich environment, with more and more new words being spoken every day!"
It will be a fun weekend relaxing. Shana Tova!
