Science Project

We have a new praying mantis egg case- hopefully in the next month, hundreds of praying mantis babies will emerge and eat up all the bugs in our yard.

I have to admit the idea is a bit creepy (however, educational). Sophie was excited about the new egg case and said, "I want to touch the poopie!!"

Find more about praying mantis, here

We hot glued it (very carefully!) to an artificial flower.

Hopefully, I will have more to report in a month.

We are awaiting painted lady caterpillars as well- I like watching caterpillars better than this strange egg case.  Yikes!
