Happy Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day

at the zoo!

And a lovely picnic at Mitchell Park and the Domes with Judi!

The seasonal dome was unbelievable!

For those of you that think Mother's Day is a Hallmark Holiday,

it's not. . .

It's to pause and recognize your mom

for all the things I never blog about,

like heart-breaking worry

and (at times) end-less, back-breaking work. . .

But most of all

for loving you

so I would like to say Happy Mother's Day to my mom.

Thank You, Mom. . .

for everything.

We had a beautiful Mother's Day weekend-

Friday I recovered, organized, and got caught up on the house from the craziest workweek on record.

Saturday we went to the Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful event, the Urban Ecology Center, and to Just Kidding for a haircut- then we met Oumie for a hike up at Holy Hill and the near by county park- soooo beautiful! Perfect day. Then we took a walk on Brady Street window shopping while waiting for pizzas. Awesome! Of course, forgot the camera.

Sunday we went to Einsteins with Dick, Kathy, and Alana- then Alana and Savanna went to Cahill Park to play. We just finished our first perler beads project- a little dolphin. So fun.

Also Chris just finished the baseboards in the kitchen. He said he just figured it out wrapping up the last cut. Ha! He still has all 10 fingers. The fridge arrives this week, the counter in early June, and just painting touch-ups and hardware on the cabinets to finish.

Next weekend--> Fridge delivery & Shrek!
