Savanna lost a tooth at school- how cool is that!?!
She has been enjoying studying butterflies- they have watched Monarch caterpillars develop into beautiful butterflies. Several escapee caterpillars have formed their cocoons in precarious spots, especially considering the room-full of 5 and 6 year-olds (like the back of a picture frame).
On a field trip to the Public Museum. Yes, that is a hissing cockroach!
In class they made patterns as long as they are tall- then joined them to reach clear into the hallway.
The school pictures above were taken by Mrs. Camp- there is a link to photographs on Mrs. Camp's blog (the right side of the page).
At home, the morning of her birthday
Sophie enjoying a beautiful fall day at soccer practice
Birthday breakfast
Sophie surprised us all by trying to feed daddy cherries. . .
she thinks it is very funny stuff! Since learning this great new activity- she has shared lots of good treats with me. . . smashed up pumpkin bread and gnawed apples- YUM.
We are enjoying listening to her say "Aaahh ohh!". . .
and using it the right way too!!!! Sometimes, it seems she drops things on purpose in order to get a good "Aaah Oh!"
The PJ party that evening- here are the kids making their own pizzas
