F-L-O-O-D

The Shorewood Rapids videos were taken about 2 miles from our house.  Warning- just in case you have small children around, the video has some "language" in it.

Also see Teecycle Tim's blog. . .  He lives just houses away from us on our block.
While you are there- buy one of their awesome t-shirts.

Of course, all bad things come with a silver lining:
I'm inspired by the young people that have helped their parents out.  By our neighbors that jumped into an elderly neighbor's basement to assist in cleaning it out (Melinda and Mike!!!).  We feel so super lucky to have Sue and Brad. . . but we didn't need a f-l-o-o-d to feel that way.  Kris is saving me hundreds on a new washer and dryer.  Unfortunately, I do think our washer is going to be scrapped. . . a small load of clothes and it sounded like it was going to rocket to the moon- taking that as a bad sign.  Thankful for Lodi who hauled a$$ ripping paneling out and Chris's dad for assisting down there when it was still very bad.  Plus the rest of the block for pretty much making this the best place to live (except for the f-l-o-o-d part and that is a small price to pay).

I do have to say that Judi is the bestest cook in the entire galaxy and she kept us eating healthy and well this week- hello curry chicken salad!!  I want to marry curry chicken salad.  Sorry Chris.
Judi, you are wonderful and you totally understood.  Plus you ventured into the basement and bleached your lungs out on our behalf.  Thank you also for the laundry help.  I'm so happy my mom is coming this weekend to be here with us and hopefully the focus is not on this stupid f-l-o-o-d but likely spending money in more fun ways.

Also, we have a fifty year old furnace this is being replaced with a very high-efficiency unit.

It's making me sick to think about the f-l-o-o-d and I'm getting absolutely tired of talking about it.  The f-l-o-o-d is in the past and now I'm focusing on being happy again (and not talking or thinking about it).  No more f-l-o-o-d drama llama.  I'm so past this.

defn drama llama:  A person who randomly throws their drama on others, in the same way a llama randomly spits.  "Oh no, here comes the drama llama! I haven't finished cleaning up from the last time she spit drama on me!"

xoxo
